It Takes a Village EduCare Center believe that a holistic approach to learning is key in a successful developmental process. We focus on seven areas of development – Cognitive, Language, Social, Cultural, Emotional, Creative and Physical.

Cognitive Development - Our curriculum focus on the key areas of Math, Social Studies and Science. We also introduce children to areas such as Health and Safety and Arts Appreciation.

Language Development – Our interactive approach to language and developmentally appropriate curriculum provide children the opportunity to develop their vocabulary through conversations, experiences and activities. We also offer children who are non-verbal the opportunity to engage in alternative communication methods.

Social Development – Our hands on curriculum encourages children in positive play with friends, the development of relationships with their peers, teachers and community. We emphasis children’s respect of self and others.

Cultural Development – Our curriculum is designed to help children of all cultural backgrounds develop a positive self-image and to stimulate self-confidence, independence and individuality. Creative Development – Our curriculum includes uniquely designed activities which lead to success in other areas of development such as counting, reading and writing. We emphasis musical and artistic activities which enhance visual, communication and fine motor skills.

Physical Development – At It Takes a Village EduCare Center, we emphasize physical fitness and coordination. Within each level of development, we focus on large gross motor movements and fine motor skills which lead to successful writing, self-help skills that ensure necessary independence basic health and fitness ideas
